Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center – Meriuex Joint Lab was established in March of 2007 with the aim to promote the collaboration between clinical doctors and researchers to take full advantage of their central role in public health and medical research. The Immunocan project, an important part of the FP7, was co-sponsored by our center and Merieux Lab, with participation from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), the IRCCS Foundation (Italy) and the Medical School from Hannover (Germany). As a major sponsor of this project, our Center will host six researchers and participate in all six research projects. Under this project, Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center will organize in China two summer schools and two seminars. At the end of the project, we will also host a large international conference.
This collaboration means a lot both to Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center and Transgene - the founding members, but also to our partners: Medical Hannover School of German, National Institute of Tumor of Italy and University of Copenhagen of Danmark, thank to our Sponsors: European Commission. The Immunocan program will enhance the research capacity in the joint institute, will increase knowledge exchanges between Europe and China in the field of cancer prognosis, will strengthen and expand a Euro-Chinese reference laboratory in cancer prognosis, will promoting an Euro-Asian leading centre on cancer prognosis. The aim of Immunocan program is to Enhance Activities of European Institutions In the Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center – Institut Merieux Cancer Research Joint Institute in China.
