On August 14th, Helena Yang, senior scientific editor of “Cancer Cell” journal was invited to visit FUSCC and gave lectures. The lecture was host by Professor Weiguo Hu, from Cancer Research Institute, Professor Cheng Xi, Director of International Affairs Office and other related staffs attended. The lecture attracted over 120 clinical doctors, research people and medical students participating on the scene. 

The topic of the lecture is “From Exciting Research to Publication in High-Impact Journals: An Editor's Perspective”, “Cancel Cell” journal was under the Cell Press Publishing Group, it owned high reputation and high impact in the oncology. Doctor Helena Yang is not only responsible for organizing expert-reviewed work but also being consultant of Cell Press Group in Asian Market. She was well informed about journal’s strategic positioning and played an important role in the journal development. In the lecture, Doctor Helena Yang introduced “Cancer Cell” submission process and techniques based on her rich working experiences and fluent expressions, helping research people clean up their minds and solve the confusion during the submission process. Meanwhile, she encouraged people to submit their paper to the global top academic journals, insist believing yourself and always keep confident.

After the lecture, Doctor Helena Yang answered the student’s questions carefully and offer special instructions to the medical students face to face. Those who attended the lecture benefited a lot.
