On November 21, a delegation of 10 individuals from the Federal State Budgetary Institution ?N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology? оf the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (N.N. Blokhin NMRCO) visited FUSCC. The delegation, led by Petrovsky Alexander Valerievich, Deputy Director of N.N. Blokhin, along with Kononets Pavel, Director of the Research Institute of N.N. Trapeznikova, Tryakin Alexey Alexandrovich, Deputy Director of N.N. Trapeznikova, Timofeev Mikhail, Director of the Multi-Functional Simulation and Training Certification Center. Other attendees included Iozhits Elena Anatolievna, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Kalugina Yulia Sergeevna, Deputy Director of the Department of Extrabudgetary Medical Activity Service. FUSCC were represented by Xianjun Yu, President, Zhen Chen, Vice President, Hongxia Wang, Director of the Department of Medical Oncology, Jianqiang Liu, Director of the Department of Endoscopy, Yizhou Jiang, Director of the Clinical Research Center, Xiang Zhou, Assistant Director of the Cancer Research Institute and others concerned. The meeting was presided over by Zhen Chen, Vice President of FUSCC.

In August of this year, the first online meeting between the two institutions resolved to establish sister hospitals within the year. Following thorough preparations, Vice President Petrovsky Alexander Valerievich and his delegation visited FUSCC for the signing ceremony between FUSCC and N.N. Blokhin NMRCO.

Xianjun Yu President of FUSCC，delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the FUSCC authorities. He stated, "FUSCC has always embraced an open attitude to engage with the world, and we attach great importance to cooperation and exchanges with globally renowned medical institutions. N.N. Blokhin NMRCO is the largest medical center in Russia and Europe. FUSCC is delighted to cooperate with them for comprehensive and in-depth collaboration. The first online exchange meeting in August laid a solid foundation for future cooperation, with experts from our hospital invited to present at international forums hosted by the Blokhin Center. Looking ahead, we hope for mutual learning, close cooperation, and joint achievements in innovation to enhance international influence, reputation, and contribute to the establishment and improvement of the "Belt and Road" national cancer prevention and control system.

Petrovsky Alexander Valerievich, Deputy Director of the N.N. Blokhin NMRCO, expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception and trust of the FUSCC. N.N. Blokhin NMRCO comprising six institutions covering clinical tumor research, pediatric tumor and hematology research, radiology research, clinical trial research center, has accumulated patients from 72 countries within 1231 patient beds. He eagerly anticipates future cooperation in clinical trials and basic research, comparing differences in cancer treatment between races, and benefiting cancer patients in both countries.

Following this, President Yu Xianjun and Vice President Petrovsky Alexander Valerievich signed a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the leaders of the two hospitals and exchanged monuments. After the signing ceremony, a brief and in-depth discussion ensued. Both sides introduced their departments and discussed future cooperation directions.

At last, two doctors of N.N. Blokhin NMRCO observed an endoscopic tumor minimally invasive surgery performed by Director Jianqiang Liu in Pudong campus, where early duodenal papillary cancer was dissected，after that a bile duct and a pancreatic duct stent were inserted.
